Have you tried reading an ebook on zoom to your grandkids, godchildren or nephews and nieces? When it's not possible to travel and see our loved ones, this is a fun way to connect through technology!
Here's how it works
Open the ebook you'd like to read on your computer, make it full screen.
Sign up to a free account with Zoom here / or Login if you already have an account
The basic plan allows unlimited one-on-one meetings, with screen share.
Click Host a meeting / with video on (on top right)
Allow this page to open Zoom.us
It will launch the meeting in the Zoom app / if you don't have Zoom it will prompt you to download it
Once in the meeting, click Meeting/Invite to get a shareable meeting link
Send that link to invite friends and family to your meeting
Click Share Screen (at bottom centre in green)
Choose the ebook, and it will appear full screen!
You can click right and left to turn the pages
You can also switch your video on and welcome your family and friends who will be able to see you and read the book with you!
