This story normalises what it is like to have stormy feelings and to feel compelled to act on them. It shows Ben Pot’s initiation journey, where he learns to relax for a short moment, in his sky-like mind when the stormy feeling is raging.

Sing the 'Relax for a Short Moment' Song:
Through catchy songs and playful expression, we embody the stormy feelings and how it feels to relax! The kids remind Ben Pot to relax for a short moment when he has stormy feelings by singing: 'Relax for a short moment, again and again' . You can bring the story to life by singing the song with your child too! See the melody below

Ben Pot and the Stormy Feelings is a children’s favourite. We heard many tales of children going to the book and hugging it when they have a stormy feeling as they feel understood by the characters and the story.
