'Rewild' - Camps for Tweens
Next Camp - 3-5 Sept 2023, with John and Celine
A space to unwind, ground and run wild, to play, swim and be restored to our genuine self by the land whilst away from family and school.
Our aim with this retreat in nature is to facilitate a space to be nourished by living simply on the land in community with others, held safely by loving adults.
We will start with an opening circle, where we will invite the t(w)eens to share what they expect and would most like to do, so they can very much shape our time together how they'd like it.
The offerings will entail: cooking on the fire, hiking, acro-yoga, making damns in the river, playing, rounders and other group games, storytelling, singing, making land art, walking in the dark...
We will ensure we have each day a meditative quiet space to be in too, journal, do craft, lie in the sun, star gaze.
The t(w)eens will learn and share cooking skills as each will take turns cooking for each other in teams.
On the last evening, we will hold an open stage with an open invitation to each share our unique talents.
We also will have time where girls and boys are separate.
As per the t(w)eens request, Celine and John will each lead a separate group who will go for a hike in the hills for a couple of hours, and stop for a mindfulness teaching.
There will be space to share and be supported with any topics they’d like to bring up.

Celine loves to play, dance, do art, let nature teach her life’s lessons and above all else she loves to empower children. When she was too old to join holiday camps herself, she trained up as a holiday camp leader (BAFA 1998, France). She worked in holiday camp settings in farms, mountains, cycling school trips and foreign language camps from 1998-2002. She is a storyteller and illustrator (BA Fine Arts 2002), and has published 8 children’s books supporting kids to relax in their sky-like mind when faced with stormy feelings (Short Moments for Kids). She is a performing arts practitioner (MA Devised Theatre 2007), and loves to lead improv workshops with kids and adults. She is also a certified teacher in the nature of mind for kids and adults since 2018 (Short Moments). She has been a registered childminder for kids aged 1-13 since 2008 and shares a mindful storytelling show at schools and festivals since 2018. She is passionate about supporting children and teens to be as they are, free and wild, and brings out their loving wise nature by loving them into their power.
John is Celine's husband and childminding assistant since 2008. Before that he used to run Kids Adventures Camps and was a replacement teacher bringing music to schools. His stage name is Mc Rigpa and he is the composer and singer at Massive Vibe Live since 2015. You can see the kids favourite music video here.
He accompanies the children’s shows that Celine holds at schools and festivals with live music. He loves to swim in cold rivers, play games, make camp fires, play guitar, make up songs, cook, carve wood or stone, and most of all sit in meditation in nature, doing nothing at all. He loves to empower kids through play, bringing out the best in them through listening deeply to what their heart needs. His nickname is John John.
